Most Useful Chart or Memory Trick: All Students Take Calculus

Caption:
This chart works hand in hand with my other valuable chart, the Cheater Chart. The All Students Take Calculus chart made it extremely easy to know whether the solutions to the trig functions were negative. In the first quadrant, the ALL quadrant, all of the trig functions will be positive. If the angle falls in the second quadrant, the STUDENTS quadrant, only sine and its partner, cosecant, will be positive. In the third quadrant, the TAKE quadrant, tangent and cotangent are the positive values. In the fourth and final quadrant, the CALCULUS quadrant, cosine and secant are the only positive values. Knowing the acronynm made it easier to figure this out, rather than having to think it through with the graph each and every time. Sometimes I was uncertain over the sign for the answer to the trig function, but when I used ASTC, my confidence rose. This trick is simple, yet effective. There is no way to go wrong.
