Right Triangle Trig at Work

Caption:
This is an example of right triangle trig at work. The skills shown here are extremely useful for solving right triangles. I chose this example because it shows how to calculate both the angle measures and the side lengths. This method is the same for all right trianges. This triangle was good for demonstrating how to calculate side length because only one side length was given and it was necessary to calculate the other two. SOH CAH TOA was used for the calculations. Sine is equal to opposite over hypotenuse, cosine is equal to adjacent over hypotenuse, and tangent is equal to opposite over adjacent. This problem allowed me to demonstrate my proficiency with both sine and cosine functions, which made it a good example.
